A photo pendant carries the image of someone who means the world to you. Most photographs are more suitable than people think — including older prints, scanned photographs and pictures taken on a phone.
A portrait photograph submitted as a digital image. The face — of a person or an animal — should be clearly visible, in focus, and well lit. Front-facing portraits work best. Profile photographs can be used but result in a side portrait aesthetic. The photograph does not need to be professional — a clear personal photo works well.
A clear front-facing portrait where the face is in focus · Good natural lighting with no strong shadows across the face · An older or scanned photograph where the face is clearly visible · A group photograph — note which face to engrave in your order · A pet portrait where the face or full body is clearly visible
A heavily backlit photograph where the face is in shadow · Very low resolution images where facial features are indistinct · A photograph taken from too great a distance where the face is very small

I only have an old or low-quality photograph.
Submit it. Older photographs — including scanned prints — often engrave beautifully. We contact you before production if quality is a concern.
The photograph includes multiple people.
Upload it and note in the order which face to engrave. We crop to the correct face before production.
I only have a side-profile photograph.
Profile photographs can be used and create a distinct, elegant aesthetic. Submit it and, if anything about it means we can't achieve a good result, we'll contact you before production begins.
How large does the photograph need to be?
There's no fixed minimum — what matters is whether the face is clear enough to engrave well. If you're unsure, send it to us before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether it will work.
