What you need

A photo pendant carries a portrait of the person or animal you have lost, rendered at the scale of a pendant in surgical-grade steel.

A portrait photograph submitted as a digital image. The face — of a person or an animal — should be clearly visible, in focus, and well lit. Front-facing portraits work best. Profile photographs can be used but result in a side portrait aesthetic. The photograph does not need to be professional — a clear personal photo works well. Minimum 800px on the shortest side, JPG or PNG.

A heavily backlit photograph where the face is in shadow · Very low resolution images where facial features are indistinct · A photograph taken from too great a distance where the face is very small · An image file below 400px on the shortest side

How to submit

1 — Choose a photograph where the face is clearly visible, in focus, and well lit. Natural light without flash gives the best result.

2 — Upload the digital image during checkout using the personalisation field. JPG or PNG, minimum 800px on the shortest side.

3 — We adapt the photograph to the pendant surface and may adjust cropping. We contact you for approval before any change is made.

4 — If you are unsure whether your photograph will work, contact us before ordering. We assess and advise before any production begins.

Common questions

I only have an old or low-resolution photo.

Submit it. Older photographs — including scanned prints — often engrave beautifully. We contact you before production if quality is a concern.

The best photo I have shows other people too.

Upload it and note in the order which face to engrave. We crop to the correct face before production.

I only have a profile photograph, not a front-facing portrait.

Profile photographs can be used and create a distinct, elegant aesthetic. Submit it and we will advise on how it will render before production begins.
