How it works

From your image to a pendant you wear every day.

This page covers everything you need to know — how to submit your personalisation, what we accept and what we cannot use, how we handle your file, and how to fill your pendant with ashes after it arrives.

01 — ORDER

Choose and order your pendant

Select your pendant shape, colour, and personalisation type. Choose your back engraving — a name, a date, or a private phrase. You have 24 hours after ordering to correct your engraving text before production begins.

Upload your personalisation

Submit your image — a fingerprint impression, photograph, handwriting sample, or paw print — using the upload field on the product page. We review every file before production. If we have concerns, we contact you first.

03 — RECEIVE

Your pendant arrives

Your pendant arrives in a jewellery box with a polishing cloth, a filling kit, and care instructions. Fill it when you are ready — there is no rush.

Part one — submitting your personalisation.

Fingerprint sample

Fingerprint or paw print impression

Submitted from an existing impression — not from a live finger.

An ink pad impression on paper, a clay or plaster impression, or a previously made fingerprint piece photographed clearly. Funeral homes and cremation services often take impressions on request — ask specifically. For pets, a vet or cremation service can take a paw print impression at the time of passing.

✓ Ink impression on paper · Clay impression · Existing fingerprint charm photographed · Paw pad ink impression

✗ Live finger photograph without ink · Smeared impression · Low light photograph

Photo sample

Portrait photograph

A clear portrait — person or pet. Professional photography is not required.

Front-facing portraits work best. The face should be clearly visible, in focus, and well lit. Older photographs and scanned prints are accepted. If your photograph includes other people, note which face to engrave in your order.

✓ Clear front-facing portrait · Good natural lighting · Older or scanned photograph · Group photo with face specified

✗ Heavily backlit · Face in shadow · Very low resolution · Face too small in frame

Handwriting sample

A note, a card, a signature — photographed or scanned from the original.

Dark ink on white or light paper with strong contrast. A single line, a short phrase, or a full signature all work well. The original is not required — a clear photograph of a card or letter is sufficient. We render the writing as closely as possible to the source without alteration.

✓ Dark ink on white or light paper · Signature or short phrase · Photograph of a card or letter · Faded writing — submit and we assess

✗ Typed or printed text · Very low contrast · Extremely small writing · Digital handwriting font

Paw print sample

Paw print impression

An ink or clay impression — taken at home, by a vet, or by a cremation service.

A paw print impression on paper or clay, photographed clearly in natural light from directly above. Most vets and animal cremation services offer paw print impressions at the time of passing — ask specifically. If no impression exists, contact us before ordering and we will advise on what is possible.

✓ Ink impression on paper · Clay or plaster impression photographed · Previously made paw print charm photographed

✗ Smeared or incomplete impression · Photograph taken from an angle · Poor lighting with shadows across the print

Part two — filling your pendant.

After your pendant arrives.

STEP 01

What arrives in the box

Your pendant arrives with the front personalisation and back engraving already completed. Inside the box: the pendant on its chain, a polishing cloth, a filling kit with a small funnel tool, and printed care instructions.

STEP 02

How much ash fits

The compartment holds a small symbolic amount — typically less than 0.05 grams. This is intentional. The pendant carries a symbolic portion while the urn remains complete. You do not need to transfer a significant amount.

STEP 03

Filling the pendant

Unscrew the compartment using the tool provided. Use the funnel to guide a small pinch of ash inside. Replace and gently tighten the screw — do not overtighten. If the screw feels difficult, contact us before applying further pressure.

STEP 04

Care and daily wear

316L surgical-grade steel is resistant to tarnish, water, and sweat. Wear it daily including in the shower. Clean with the polishing cloth provided. Check the screw seal periodically. Avoid prolonged saltwater or chlorine exposure.

Before production begins

We review your file before we start. You have 24 hours to correct your engraving text.

Every submitted image is reviewed by our team before production begins. If we have any concerns about quality, we contact you directly — always before proceeding. If you need to correct your back engraving text after ordering, contact us within 24 hours at [email address]. After that, production begins and changes are no longer possible. If a file cannot be used and no alternative is available, we work with you to find the best possible approach. We have never turned away an order because of a difficult file.
